gonna make you sweat
The ranunculus this year are mind-bending. We're getting varieties from New Jersey, Japan, Holland, Israel. They cause a panic around here...
When I found that deep pink number in the second photo my ears got hot and my heart started racing. Time slowed down, and voices in the studio sounded slow and distant. What can possibly be done with a flower this beautiful? You see why our job is so stressful.
Most of the specimens in this bouquet came from an undisclosed farm in New Jersey. Nicolette and I are hot on the trail of locating said farm and showing up there unannounced. Tomorrow.
Keep you posted.
p.s. we've posted new classes up on the Little Flower School site.
p.p.s. the cherry blossom class falls right at the tail end of ranunculus season, jus saying.

Ooooooh they are so gorgeous - truly. You would go crazy if you saw our flower fields overlooking the sea here in Carlsbad -- 20 acres of row after row of ranunculus...

It's try, the ranunculus have been so amazing this year! Sweet little scallops.., like tiny seashells.
ah amazing!
The flowers are really out of this world! So beautiful you can almost smell them looking at the photo!
two things:
1. i grew up on a farm in nj. my mom grows pretty hardcore fleurs. my huz and i had sicknasty ranunculi at our wedding there. but we are not your secret 'nunc provider.
2. do you know that the entire tiny population of joshua tree, california, uses saipua soap? yes, in the desert we smell like scented geranium and myrrh courtesy of you, via the mt. fuji general store. thought you should know.
I can't believe them either, they are just amazing. The first one especially.
I follow your blog simply because I identify with this very sensation about flowers--especially the ranunculus. It seems absurd, really. Thanks for being an enabler. :)
wish i was in on that secret flower farm!! these are gorgeous...
