Just back to the city
I roamed around a bit today with nea in sleet and wet snow up at my parents house
When you look at the rain and the rain looks heavy and white, that's probably snow whether you're ready to admit it or not
The colors of autumn change drastically week to week
Today the forest was tan, beige and bright teal (from all the moss and lichen)
Lots of wind and drama
I can not get enough of this season

Little Flower School

All the new winter classes are posted over at the Little Flower School. My personal favorite is the Orchid Class - DECADENT!!

happy tuesday chickens! time off is amazing! yesterday I got a massage, and read the new franzen novel for 2 hours straight. then i went to barneys. then i ate italian cookies, made romanesco and rigatoni, drank some more box wine, beat my boyfriend in a mean hand of rummy 500, then fell asleep watching Stray Dog, and old japanese film that has been holding up our netflix que for 6 months

today we're going to the met. it's official, i've arrived at yuppiedom! i just ate some raw honey

*And those of you who were interested in knowing more about the new Just Because Initiative, will be happy to hear that I did connect with Cindy last Friday to deliver her lucky flowers, and how nice it was to take leave from the hectic studio and go meet someone new, someone who give you jam filled heart cookies none the less. Guess that sets a nice little precident for our next winner, doesn't it?

HALLOWEEN SHINDIG IN RED HOOK

There is going to be a Halloween street fair on our block tomorrow!
We'll be setting up a face painting both outside the shop so come by with your kids and I'll paint skulls and tree peonies on their shining faces...

And there's going to be a bouncy castle!! PLEASE GOD LET THERE BE NO AGE LIMIT TO BOUNCE
