I HATE SUNFLOWERS!!!

So take you're "Blossom hats" and 90's era perfume and shove em where the sun don't shine!!!

*all of these flowers are locally grown by the every inspiring River Garden; and available Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Greenmarket in Union Square

Hahaha...Blossom hats. That is such a perfect reference. Except the flower would be like hot pink and silk, not like your gorgeous bouquet.

That's one of your most beautiful photos ever. Do you hate sunflowers even when they are in the ground, and all Hulk-ish and monster-like?

Sunflowers remind me of those outfits inspired by "Friends," the ones with the sundresses layered with a denim vest on top.

You manage to make them look pretty good anyway...

hehheee that reminds me of when some hotel events lady said to me "Sunflowers are so....PEDESTRIAN." with such disdain.
my personal unfavorite...i actually have a long list so forget it!

I'm with you! Sometimes a certain someone in my household sneaks in a few seeds into my flower garden and I get so mad.

haha, I planted some moulin rouge sunflowers at the back of my flower bed this year. I like 'em, but I like 'em en masse, turning their heads throughout the day, or else in unusual colours - last year I grew pale green ones.

for hating them, you sure do a nice arrangement =) these photos are not selling the sunflower hate.

and hah! to sara lacey's comment about denim vests over sundresses and friends - TOO true!

I'm a florist in san francisco and I've been feeling this way for years too!

I once told my sister a hat she picked out was perfect for Blossom. I think you can conclude what happened thereafter.

I grew (and by that I mean threw seeds) of sunflowers between my two neighbors fences (nothing can ever touch or be shared in the suburbs). Damn those awkward peeping sunflowers, peeping up all over the place.

I'm a floral designer, too, and find that the larger they get, the harder they are to work with. SUX

Me too! I hate them!

It feels kind of mean saying you hate a flower! I've never 'got' the sunflower thing.. I'm not that fond of those bright gerbras either and I hate it when you you see flowers in buckets of blue dye. Oh no now you've got me started!!

i hate them too. blech.

I hate sunflowers too. For some reason I still planted them anyway and now I'm stuck with them at farmers' markets. Hmph. Why did I grow them??
