Working with so many dahlias lately, total knock-outs. maybe 2 weeks left of em....worked this morning to get so many photo's prepped from the weekend, so I'm going to load you up today with posts (and video's if I can figure out how to post them)
And I'm just going to come out and say this: I like lady Gaga now. Just do. Like that song Paparazzi or whatever.

back while we were on vacation i caught david humming 'poker face'. and yes, i totally called him on it.
DUDE - i saw her last night at carnegie hall (i know!) and she was PHENOM. came out as a surprise guest and blew everyone away. i can't remember the last time i saw a classically trained pianist with a rock n roll snarl and no clothes. chick is unreal.
you keep breaking my heart. at our flower shop in virginia, we try, we get 'em fresh, we get 'em fast and they still never last for us. how do you do it? keep the dahlias alive i mean?
Yeah. I'm totally into the Lady G. Oh---and the dahlias too.
BTW: Sarah, are you in Dutchess County or Kings County?
these dahlias are really fantastic!! wooww... and this space...is in your shop? I love the first photo
fàtima.
we're in kings county
the top photo is taken from the back, through the trap door to the front
the big fragile dahlias - like these shown - only last 2-3 days, we use them for weddings only
Hello,
I just found your blog. You are true masters of the rare and beautiful. How can I follow you?
Marjorie
i'm so in love with your dog... she's such a cutie!
So beautiful! Love your blog, always inspiring. We have a really hard time getting those gorgeous paler-toned dahlias here in the Midwest... they don't ship well I guess, no matter how hard they try. Also, my three year-old sings "I I I I I I broke your vase" to the tune of Poker Face (yeah, floral designer's daughter), so this post made me laugh!
I thought you promised many more pictures today? Keep 'em coming!
Hi, my name is Becca, I'm 37 years old, and I too like the Lady Gaga. God I feel so much better admitting that openly....
love your blog-love gaga too!
Sara, that cream dahlia stopped me in my tracks!
I'm a new Saipua fan, and I just wanted to pop in and say "hello" and that it was such a lovely pleasure meeting Eric (and the sweet dog!) at the shop this past Sunday. I stopped by with my friend, Marina, and I put together a tiny autumnal arrangement...with white berries :) The bouquet is now making it's gentle presence known in my living room, and it makes me so happy to have fresh flowers around.
Thanks for being so generous and helpful! Hope to see you again soon.
Paparazzi! Paparazzi! Love the flowers!
