equations.

I'm trying not to take things so bloody seriously lately. I'm arranging flowers, not sending men to the moon...or solving differential equations...which helped send men to the moon. I guess.

in the vein of online science lessons, have a look here: http://www.periodicvideos.com/

it's become a personal favorite of mine. there's also a two hour documentary called "dimensions" online that does an excellent job helping you visualize the fourth dimension. they have a particularly good chapter on imaginary numbers.

Sometimes I take it too personally as well. It happens when you are your business.

your latest post inspired me to think about the grander history of your vocation. check it out.

I know, I used to clench my teeth so hard the night before a wedding I've got Superman-strength jaw muscles. Now that I don't have my floral biz anymore I miss it intensely - wish I lived closer so I could guilt you into going to yoga class with me. P.S. Brimfield should wear you out so much that you'll forget you even own a business.

I had a similar discussion with myself recently, although perhaps with an inverse conclusion from your own. "The things I want to do are not so impossible," I thought. "I do not want to go to the moon, or win an Oscar. I know people who have done all these things and they are still just people."

The moon was reached by a series of decisions, just like the ones we make every day.

And flower arranging is exponentially more important than differential equations. I have thrown my math books upon the fire, but your photographs will always take my breath away.
