i can't get it together for a cohesive post, but owe something to this bloggy. something that illustrates even a small portion of what we've been doing out here.
but let me say this: i am living flowers in fast motion. i am taking my social hour while making bouquets. my friends don't even call anymore.

And Associated (flower wholesaler): Your coffee break station in the flower market is a beacon, a refuge at 6:30am. But replacing the donut holes with tortilla chips? STOP. IT'S. NOT. ACCEPTABLE.

car driver mysteriously knows my name
he says all pretty girls are named Sarah.
I have to agree.

he says it must be boring to be as rich as Beyonce because there is nothing you can't have.
later i pretended i was rich and charged some new shoes. and some shorts. la di da.

I'm a junkie for cab rides. Love 'em. At my first job years ago my boss would send me on errands in a cab. I would ride to the accountant's office on the Upper East side and pretend I was a rich lady. It felt so luxurious. I still feel like a million bucks in the back of a cab.

Today I took one to lunch at Tea & Sympathy. One of my favorite places, we've been going for over 10 years. I miss the days when you could smoke inside. All the British waitresses would defend you're bad habit and holler if someone next to you made you feel bad for lighting up. When I did smoke, that is. Now it's full of tourists, but it's still good. I sat next to two girls who spent the first 5 minutes with their food photographing it.

Anyway, the picture above...naturally I'm planning a comprehensive campaign to make Aaron stay in NYC. I'll take suggestions...But first I ask you; is there a bar called RAWHIDE in Blacksburg, VA? No. No, there is not.

__

A delivery from this weekend of limoncello roses, dogwood, muscari, and stuff. It was for the opening of a new shop nextdoor to us - Tiburon - a tiny charming place full of handmade digs...

Good Timez: R.I.P.

Aaron is leaving NYC. If I've been planning your wedding, cancel it. It I've promised you soap, forget it. I'm on a Chris Issak and Bonnie Prince Billy binge, and there's nothing you can do. At least there's a new Gossip Girl on tonight I guess.
