I got a soft spot for dahlias, too. Planted a few in the garden this year, but they've been hit with some sort of blight. Probably payback for using ugly-ass rope and bungee cords to keep 'em upright.
Now THAT'S saying something, sistah.
And is that menu for real? Cuz I love beet salad. Throw on some gingered pecans & honey vinaigrette & I could get real territorial.
