I just have to ask about the name Saipua. I am from Finland and saipua does sound familiar, especially when I read you also sell soap... Please tell me the story behind the name. Love your blog.
Oh, how cool! How did you end up in New York? I am always dying to hear stories how Finns end up around the world. Usually it is love that moves us. I've been living in South-America and in Belgium (because of love), but now I am back in Finland again, at least for a while.

I am Finnish! We took one of the "p's" out of Saippua for a number of reasons, all of which are pretty boring. I love the name though.

Oh I see :) Do you speak any Finnish, or visit here ever?
I am so thrilled about your shop, flowers and hand made soap!
I was also wondering if you know Finnish, 'saippua' means soap. I lived in Finland for a couple of years. I have to say I really enjoy your blog.
Very, very beautiful arrangements! I am in love with your white flowers.
