[A beautiful delivery from a little ways back arranged by Amy, with fritillaria, curly willow,
freesia, geranium, ranunculus, eucalyptus.]

I wrote a little post about using fritillaria and flower frogs on D*Sponge last week. Check it out.
Also I woke up with the best bed head ever, amazing considering I don't have time to shower before I run to this photo shoot for the queen of craft.

moss

what else is new...? Nea and I went for a hike earlier in the week and I got a nasty tick bite. we removed the tick whole and I'm saving it in a kombucha jar. because that's what they tell you to do on the internet. (It's looking better mom..)

neawoods

On said excursion Nea startled a nesting falcon and we almost both lost our eyes. I've never seen a bigger, nastier bird in my life. Scared the shit out of me, I froze in my tracks and couldn't move for minutes. Nea stood there whining. Then we both ran for it.

It's funny how our weeks tend to color coordinate. Last week was a meditation in the realm of peach and rust colors...

Camel roses, "mon cherie" dafodils, salmon ranunculus, parrot "libretto" tulips, "gypsy" hyacinth...

A jasmine tea soap wrapped up, a sample for a wedding favor...

Mile End, a new delicatessen on Hoyt Street - Amy brought me a montreal style bagel with lox, capers and tomato...

Cards from Screech Owl Designs...

Let's meditate in a field together.

debbysgarden

Look what Debby just sent me! This beautiful photo take from her garden of yesteryear. It started me thinking on how we get to work with some really amazing, interesting and kind people. In the last few weeks we've had brides bring us lip balm, biscotti, cheesecake, and kombucha. They've sent us photos from their weddings, their gardens, images of their artwork. And they've just been really kind.

Some days I feel incredibly blessed and lucky, I want to break out my crystals and make a chanting circle.

But today I am grouchy and so I'm going to continue to eat these Reeses Pieces until I feel sick.

another...

sample for Penelope

Here's another peachy number made as a little sample for a june bride...
We're running just as fast as we can this week. I'm off to see L'etoile tonight. I just got a nice comment from Lily in Joshua Tree saying that everyone there smells like geranium and Frankincense thanks to Saipua. Made my day...and you will love her blog, bigBang Studio.

I've always wanted to go to Joshua Tree, and someday when I do - I'm bringing a box of soap.

Chiaroscuro

love of my life

That little peach butter cup ranunculus is out of control. Clearly this arrangement needs to be STOPPED. Did you know that the ranunculus is in the buttercup family?
