The ranunculus this year are mind-bending. We're getting varieties from New Jersey, Japan, Holland, Israel. They cause a panic around here...

When I found that deep pink number in the second photo my ears got hot and my heart started racing. Time slowed down, and voices in the studio sounded slow and distant. What can possibly be done with a flower this beautiful? You see why our job is so stressful.

Most of the specimens in this bouquet came from an undisclosed farm in New Jersey. Nicolette and I are hot on the trail of locating said farm and showing up there unannounced. Tomorrow.

new thresholds of exhaustion crossed.

i used to work with some amazing art handlers that were older, wiser, and much more worldy that I...andrew and pedro. one day we were eating pate or something for lunch.

andrew, having spent a lot of time in france was talking about eating cheese with butter. my eyes widened and i swallowed hard. cheese AND butter. together. it was like waking up from a deep sleep.

Clarisse and Lucile are french sisters who collaborate on the blog EnSuite. I had the pleasure of meeting Clarisse last time we were in Paris - she took us all around the city to show us her favorite things. It was such a beautiful day.

But we all know that whining gets little accomplished - plus it's so unattractive. And so it is with great pleasure and strange relief that I pronounce this week PARIS WEEK for Team Saipua. We can all go! What shall we do first? Want to have lunch by the Seine? It may be before noon here, but in Paris it's 4pm so we can drink a bottle of wine. La vie est bonne, non?

p.s. Amy you better have on your beret tomorrow, i'm f&$%#ing serious about this.

Julie and Mike just got married. We saw lots of old friends over the weekend, prompting an old photo binge this morning... Julie and I from eons ago.
