deep thoughts.

tending shop at Saipua today, all my girls have flown the coop for the holiday. I get to listen to all the music I want to instead of the 24 hour robyn-a-thon that happens when they are around. i miss them though.

maybe it's the holiday season that makes me get all Hegelian, but do you think there is a difference between good and bad people? this is something i consider a lot. i wish I could see things in grey, but I tend to be a black and white type. all or nothing.

surely we've all encountered haters, takers, selfish folks...but do you think that there are people who lack the ability to express selfless compassion?
if you do, here's some words of wisdom for you:
CUT 'EM OFF!

those curling fern fronds have me thinking about ramps and early spring asparagus and lemon and bright pale greens. Happy solstice to you - that warm ol' sun is coming back our way, and I cannot wait to see your hellebore and fern bed in a few months!!

I think the difference is a lot of pain without the gift of being able to process it well. Too little nurturing.
Cutting off is sadly the only way sometimes!
Your arrangement made my breath catch; so beautiful!!

Nothing to do with this post - but just wanted you to know how much I love looking at your beautiful photography of your arrangements. They are spectacular on their own but with your photography - just amazing. Keep it up!
Happy Holidays!

I hope for the chance of good in everyone who isn't sick. However, not everyone brings their A-game to the good thing, and who wants to play with amateurs? Life is short. Ending relationships is not the worst thing that happens. Merry Christmas to your absolutely brilliant self.

A friend shared this quote with me when I was struggling with similar thoughts to those you're expressing in this post.

"Everything I do in life, I do out of sheer joy. I drop my fruit like a ripened tree. What others do with it when I am done, is not my concern." ~Henry Miller

Please keep droppin' your fruit, Sarah. Your pictures, thoughts, arrangements, and joie de vivre is a heck of a lot of fun to enjoy on these Internets. :) Happy holidays to you & yours!

Beautiful Pics and nice thoughts. Flowers meaning symbolism. If you want to express your thoughts or feelings then this is best way.
