I wait all year for autumn. September is my favorite month because it means October is coming, and October is actually really my favorite month. Like most women, I like to think I'm complicated.
In Australia it's practically September now but strangely, they still call it April.
I digress -
What a delightful surprise to come across these pictures from a wedding we did last September at The New Leaf Cafe. Cosmos, Dahlias, Coxcomb, Chamomile...
[Cora - these are flowers you can use for your tea-tin arrangements at the end of August....]

Its definitely all Cosmos and Dahlias here in Melbourne at the moment!
Used to have tons of cosmos growing in front of my porch---I loved it. I guess it liked crappy, dry soil and full sun.
so, so beautiful
Sadly- sydney is at the end of Dahlia season- and I feel like I missed it all together!Last year they were amazing dinner plate sized vivacious blooms- and this year- I couldn't only find the small little ones?
Still- my absolute fav flower- and now I get to look forward to next season!
@ Saipua- feel free to give us a dose in October- helps to get over the hump!

I just bought the most amazing pink striped dahlia this weekend. It's beautiful. And I saw your soaps featured in Better Homes & Gardens! Woo hoo for you!
Gah! This makes me want late summer so much.
Wow, amazing
