Lets get on with it - a quick Vermont run-down:
I love it there. There are maple trees; syrup. There are lots of covered bridges. Lots of gorges. And lots of general stores - my favorite, if you're ever driving through central Vermont is in the town of Warren - they make their own bread and you can get terrific sandwiches to take on your hike.
We stopped at every single salvation army thrift store and goodwill in the state. At the last one on the way home a car crashed into the front of the store a few feet from where I was browsing.
I'm working on a new camera purchase this week - test driving a Canon 50D today with a macro 55mm lense. It is throw-your-hands-in-the-air-out-of-control. Results soon..

hope you recuperated for reals and that you thrifted and maple syrup'd your way into vermonster bliss.
and that you just suck it up and just BUY THAT INSANE CAMERA.
I'm with BigBANG! The Canon 50D is SICK! I've been using the EOS Rebel XSi and it's solid gold---even got a couple of cool lenses I can toggle between when the occasion calls for it! So if there's anyway you can snag that FITTY-D, do it...:D
Those pancakes look absolutely LUSCIOUS.
Ohhhh you were in Quechee! Five long min. from my shop! I'm glad you had a good time in our little humble world of tiny wee towns and silly general stores. I wish I had know you were going to be here I would have told you about all the amazing junk (hidden gem) stores!
Omg that looks so delicious! Wonderful pics
Yummmmm! We had pancakes for breakfast on Sunday...this makes me want more!
some part of me really wishes you had taken a photo of the car sticking out of the goodwill storefront window and shared it with us.
what are goodwills in vermont like? in cambridge, ma, where i live, they're all right -- good for picture frames, mid-range mall clothes, and the occasional home-made see-through crochet dress or what have you. however, i've heard the ones in florida where retirees sometimes clean closet are *amazing*!
I just love covered bridges, I hope you took some photos of them and will share!
The warren store is 5 minutes from our little flower shop! (www.bluetoadflowers.com)! We stop there and get these to die for fudge brownies and a rootbeer every time we have a delivery in the neck of the woods. Wish we knew you were up here, we would have treated you guys!
one of my besties lives in warren!!
also, i'm glad i clicked on this, because i was looking for local florists for my wedding, and TWO posted comments!
oh sarah. if i would have known, i would have invited you to breakfast at my favorite place. next time? ps: amisha told me she had such fun at flower school. i want to come!
